How do I access Canvas?
- Select MyAACC from the AACC homepage.
Or navigate to https://portal.aacc.edu
- Sign in with your AACC Email Address and Password and select Sign In. Employees will sign in with [username]@aacc.edu, and students will sign in with [username]@mymail.aacc.edu
- Once logged in to MyAACC select Access Canvas at the bottom of the Access My Courses card. This will give you access to Canvas. Your courses will be visible in Canvas 3 days prior to the course start date.
Troubleshooting
How to Fix the “File Storage Exceeded” Error in Canvas
If you see the “File Storage Exceeded” error when trying to upload a file, it means your Canvas storage is full.
To free up space:
- Log in to Canvas.
- Click Account on the left side.
- Select Files.
- Look for large files or files you no longer need.
- Select the checkbox next to the file.
- You can either:
- Delete the file by clicking the trash can icon, or
- Download the file first by clicking the download icon, and then delete it.
- After deleting some files, try uploading your file again.
Tip: We recommend deleting the largest files you no longer need to keep in Canvas to free up space quickly.

Still unable to sign in?
If you are seeing an error message that does not indicate that your password is incorrect, try logging into Canvas directly by navigating to aacc.instructure.com and logging in with you AACC email address and password.
