Forgot your Password

Overview

There are two methods for resetting a forgotten password from the AACC Sign in Page.

    • Reset your password by receiving a temporary security code sent to your cell phone or personal email address OR reset your password by answering your challenge questions.

    • Reset your password utilizing your Microsoft Security Info Sign in Methods.

1. Password Management Tool

Reset your password using the Security Code

  1. Navigate to the Password Management Tool using an option below:
    • Go to https://www.aacc.edu/password and under the Forgot Your Password heading select Reset Password Using a Security Code.
      • OR
    • Select Password Management Tool from the AACC Sign in Page.
      • OR
    • Select the button below.

  1. You will then be asked to enter your user name, Captcha, and select the box agreeing to receive text messages. After completing, select Submit.
    • If you'd rather reset your password using your challenge questions, select the option Don’t want to receive a Security Code?  Reset your password by answering your challenge questions.

  1. Select where you want the security code to be sent and click on Send Security Code.

  1. You will then receive a message the security code has been sent via text… Select Ok.

  1. Enter the 6 digit security code you received by either text or email and then select Validate.

  1. After validating, you will then be prompted to reset your password.

Reset your password using the Challenge Questions

  1. Navigate to the Password Management Tool using an option below:
    • Go to https://www.aacc.edu/password and under the Forgot Your Password heading select Reset Password Using Challenge Questions.
      • OR
    • Select the button below.

  1. Enter you user name and select Submit.

  1. Verify your identity: Answer the following questions as listed below and once completed select Submit.

  1. After validating, you will then be prompted to reset your password.

Troubleshooting the Password Management Tool

Temporary Security Code

If you receive an error message when attempting to reset your password with a temporary security code, you may not have a personal email address or cell phone number in the Password Management system. Submit a ticket for assistance, or try resetting your password with your challenge questions.

Challenge Questions

Don't remember one of your challenge questions?  Click Shuffle Questions.

2. Microsoft Self Service Password Reset (SSPR)

Navigate to the Microsoft Self Service Password Reset SSPR using an option below:

  • Select the Can't access your account? or Forgot my password links from the AACC.edu sign in page.
    • OR
  • Go to https://aka.ms/sspr
    • OR
  • Select the button below.

Enter your AACC email address (ex. employee, rhawk2@aacc.edu or ex. student, rhawk2@mymail.aacc.edu).  Respond to the Captcha and select Next.

Choose an option to get back into your account.

Check your email, phone, or Microsoft Authenticator App for a notification/code.  Follow the steps to create a new password.

Enter SSPR code.

Select Finish to set your new password.

Troubleshooting SSPR

If you receive a message similar to the one below, select the linked text contact your administrator to use the Password Management Tool instead. After you have reset your password, navigate back to this site to set up your SSPR sign in methods: https://aka.ms/ssprsetup

Resolución de problemas

Código de seguridad temporal
