Overview

Faculty and staff with an AACC Windows laptop may use the Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) application to remotely connect to a computer on campus.

Instructions

Sign in to your AACC laptop and connect to the VPN/FortiClient.  For detailed instructions regarding connecting to the VPN, check out this knowledge base article.

Launch the Remote Desktop Connection application on your AACC laptop.

Enter your AACC on-site computer name in the Computer box. If you do not know your computer name, contact the Technical Service Desk.

Select Connect.  You should now be connected to your on-site PC. Please note, audio and video (web cam video) will not transfer using RDP.  Zoom or Teams meetings should be accessed from your local device.

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to connect to a computer using RDP, verify that you are connected to the VPN. If you are not connected to the VPN, it will not work.
