Overview
AACC is upgrading all college-managed devices to Zoom Workplace (64-bit) and the Zoom Outlook Add-in. Zoom will no longer support the 32-bit version after December 15, 2025, so this update is required to ensure continued functionality.
The update will be pushed automatically to AACC devices on the evening of December 10. To receive the update, users must ensure:
- Their AACC-issued device is powered on
- Laptop screens are open
- They are signed out of the device
Zoom Workplace will look very similar after the upgrade, but the Zoom Outlook Add-in interface will appear different.
Issue
After the upgrade, users may be unsure how to schedule Zoom meetings in Outlook due to interface changes in both Outlook Classic and the New Outlook. Some users may also be prompted to sign into Zoom before using the add-in for the first time.
Instructions
Outlook Classic
- Go to your Calendar in Outlook.
- Select New Appointment or New Meeting.
- In the menu bar of the new window, select Add a Zoom Meeting.

- If prompted to sign in:
- Select SSO at the bottom of the Zoom login window.
- On the “Sign in with SSO” screen, enter: aacc-edu
- Select Continue.
- Zoom will now be set up in Outlook.

New Outlook and OWA
- Go to your Calendar in Outlook.
- Select the New event button.
- In the New event window, select the icon with four squares inside a larger square (the Apps menu).
- Select Zoom, then click Add a Zoom meeting.

- If prompted to sign in:
- Select SSO at the bottom of the Zoom login window (see screen shots above).
- Enter aacc-edu in the domain field.
- Select Continue.
- Zoom setup in Outlook is now complete
Add Zoom to the New event top menu bar in (New) Outlook.
Add the Zoom button for easy future use by going to the Settings button (Gear Icon) at the top right of your Outlook (new) window. Then Click on Calendar, Customize actions, and then click the checkbox for Zoom and click Save. Now the Zoom button will be right on the top menu bar.
Troubleshooting
Zoom Add-in does not appear in Outlook
- Restart Outlook.
- Restart your computer if the add-in still does not display.
- Ensure the update was installed by checking the Zoom version (should read 64-bit).
- In Outlook Classic, confirm that the Zoom Outlook Add-in is enabled under
- File → Options → Add-ins.
User did not receive the update
- Confirm the device was powered on, open, and signed out on the evening of December 10.
- Leave the device on the next evening to receive the update.
- Contact the Technical Service Desk if the update still does not apply.
Sign-in issues
- Always choose SSO when prompted.
- Ensure the domain is entered exactly as: aacc-edu
- If sign-in loops occur, sign out of Zoom completely and then attempt SSO again.
