Overview
This article defines the standard equipment issued to AACC faculty and staff based on role. The goal is to ensure consistency, equitable access, and supportability of institutional technology resources.

Standard Equipment Allocation
Primary Computing Device
- Full-time employees are issued a laptop or desktop computer as their primary device.
- Laptops are the standard for employees requiring mobility and remote work capability.
- Employees are expected to transport assigned laptops between approved work locations as needed.
On-Campus Equipment
Employees may be provided the following based on operational need:
- Docking station (if required)
- Up to two total displays (laptop screen counts as one)
- Wired keyboard
- Wired mouse
Requests for more than two displays require business justification and approval.
Remote / Hybrid Work Equipment
Remote and hybrid employees may receive:
- Laptop (primary device)
- One external monitor (inventory permitting)
- Wired keyboard
- Wired mouse
The College does not duplicate full office workstation setups for home use.
The following are not standard and require approval:
- Second external monitor
- Docking station
- External webcam
- Wireless peripherals
- Printers
Phones and Headsets
- Employees receive a phone as part of standard equipment.
- Employees with Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) responsibilities are issued a headset for on- and off-campus use.
Shared Equipment (Adjunct / Part-Time Staff)
- Adjunct faculty and part-time staff use shared office equipment.
- Loaner laptops may be requested through the Equipment Service Loan process.
Printing Standards
- Printing is primarily provided via on-campus multifunction devices (MFDs).
- Local printers may be installed only when MFD access is not available.
- Printers are not issued for off-campus use.
Notes
- Full-time employees are typically issued a laptop for both on-site and remote use. On-site setups may include docking stations and peripherals.
- Printing access is centralized through shared devices; individual printers are limited and role-based.
