What Is This Service?
Announcements in MyAACC are used to communicate important information to students and employees. Standard announcements include:
- IIT Downtime, Maintenance and Critical Information
- Campus Closing or Delays
- Critical Campus Safety Information
- Strategic Project Communications
Non-standard announcements will be assigned to Portal Governance team to review for approval.
Who Is Eligible to Use It?
Faculty and staff may request a MyAACC Announcement.
Where Can I Get It?
Select the Request MyAACC Announcement button on this page and provide the required information.
Please include the following:
- Proposed text (100 characters max)
- Requested start and end dates
- Link text: Action based (ex. Learn More, Read More, Discover More)
- Link URL: Web link to more information
How Do I Use It?
Your request for a MyAACC announcement is subject for approval, and will be reviewed by a member of the Web Services team within 2 business days. Web Services will reach out if more information is needed and to provide announcement approval/rejection notification.
Guidelines
- Announcements should be requested at least 2 business days before the requested start date.
- Only 3 announcements can be posted in MyAACC at any given time.
- The requested published dates may be adjusted based on the importance/relevance of other scheduled messages.
