What Is This Service?
Request the purchase of non-standard software for your AACC computer, or a computer lab. The following software is "standard" software, installed on all AACC owned computers:
- Microsoft Windows 11 Enterprise: Desktop Operating System
- Microsoft Office 365: Desktop Office System
- Microsoft Outlook 365: Email
- Microsoft Teams: Collaboration Tool
- Microsoft One Drive: File storage - cloud
- Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Mgr Client: Desktop and Asset Management
- Microsoft Defender: Antivirus, anti-intrusion, and anti-malware
- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: Read PDFs
- Snagit: Screen capture
- Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome: Web Browser(s)
- Absolute and BitLocker: Laptop security and hard drive encryption
- Alertus Desktop: Public address notifications (AACC alerts)
- Colleague Icon: Colleague / Web UI (for administrative workstations)
- Outlook Web Access: Internet access to Email
- Windows Media Player / VLC: Play multimedia files
- Whitney Font: Institutional Font identified by Strategic Communications (administrative workstations)
- FortiClient: Secure access to college network (faculty/staff laptops)

Faculty and staff.
Where Can I Get It?
To purchase software, fill out the attached Service Request Form and select the Software Purchase Inquiry button on this page.
How Do I Use It?
A technician will contact you during business hours if more information is needed or when the request has been resolved.
The average turnaround time for quotes is 5 business days. Requests which need a requirements analysis will take additional time and will require supervisor approval.
Departments will pay for all non-standard software, this includes licenses and maintenance.
