Overview
Microsoft Stream Classic is being retired and replaced with Stream on SharePoint. Stream Classic was a video service previously used with Microsoft 365. If you recorded videos in Teams prior to May 15, 2023, you likely have videos saved in Stream Classic.
IIT will migrate all AACC user content from Stream Classic to Stream SharePoint prior to the start of spring term on January 22, 2024. However, you may also log in to Stream Classic before April 15, 2024 to download videos that you own.
Saved Stream Classic links in Canvas will automatically redirect to your migrated videos in Stream SharePoint. No action is required on your part.

Migration from Stream Classic to Stream SharePoint
Access Stream SharePoint: Beginning May 15, 2023 all new recorded video files (ex. Teams meeting recordings) are saved in Stream SharePoint, instead of Stream Classic. Stream SharePoint can be accessed from Microsoft 365 online.
- Sign in to MyAACC.
- Select Microsoft 365 from the Email and Microsoft 365 card.
- Select the app launcher and choose Stream.
Access Stream Classic: Stream Classic will be available for viewing until April 15, 2024. However, no new videos can be created or uploaded to Stream Classic. Stream Classic can be accessed directly from this link or from Stream SharePoint.
- Sign in to MyAACC.
- Select Microsoft 365 from the Email and Microsoft 365 card.
- Select the app launcher and choose Stream.
- Select the Stream Classic from the link in the top right.
View and Download your Stream Classic videos before April 15, 2024 (optional)
These instructions are optional, since IIT will migrate your Stream Classic content to Stream SharePoint.
- From the top navigation menu, select My Content > Videos.
- You should see a list of Steam Classic videos that you own. Please note, if you don't own the video but you have edit permissions, use search to find the video for download.
- To download the video, select the three-dots icon for the video and select Download video.
- To view details about the video, select the pencil icon for the video.
- In the Permissions column, take note of the people, groups, and Teams sites with access to your video. You'll need these sharing details if you plan to upload to Stream SharePoint.
- To download more videos, use Stream Classic's top navigation bar. Select My Content > Videos to return to your videos list.
