Application Review

What Is This Service?

The Application Review service ensures that software used at AACC meets security, compliance, and technical requirements. IIT teams—including Information Security, Asset Management, Systems Administration, Applications and Data Infrastructure, IDEA Lab, and LMS Support—evaluate new and existing applications for compatibility, security risks, accessibility, and integration with AACC systems. Ideally, reviews are conducted before a software purchase, but existing applications can also be assessed.

Who Is Eligible to Use It?

This service is available to AACC faculty, staff, and IIT personnel who need to evaluate software for academic or administrative use.

Where Can I Get It?

You can request an application review by selecting the Request Application Review button on this page. 

How Do I Use It?

  • Submit a request through the Service Desk client portal, providing details about the software, its intended use, and any vendor documentation.
  • The IIT teams will assess security, licensing, technical compatibility, and compliance with AACC policies.
  • You will receive a report with findings and recommendations.
  • If needed, IIT staff will work with you on next steps, including procurement, implementation, or alternative solutions.
