Professional Development Activities

Overview

The former Web Advisor system contained a custom built feature known as Professional Development Activities.  This feature is no longer available in Self Services.   

Issue

The Professional Development Activities feature in Web Advisor was a fully customized section of the faculty menu.  Professional Development Activities allowed faculty to self-report and track courses, certifications, and other activities.  The feature was not widely used and was not utilized by Human Resources for performance or promotion since there was no workflow for validating entries. 

Self Services does not offer a comparable replacement tool for tracking professional development.  Each employee should keep track of their own external professional development activities for courses offered outside of AACC.  Any professional development courses (IPDs) taken at AACC will show in your Self Services previous courses (Self Services > Grades > Choose a Semester).
