Assistive Listening Devices

Overview

Classrooms and presentation spaces in the Health and Life Sciences Building (HLSB) at AACC are equipped with hardware to support assistive listening devices (ALDs). Assistive Listening Devices are handheld devices that improve sound transmission for people with hearing loss.

Instructors must request a microphone from IIT in order for ALDs to function.

Requesting and Using an Assistive Listening Device

Assistive Listening Devices can be picked up from the Technical Service Desk, located in the Careers Center, Room 108.

When you are finished with your ALD, please return it to the Technical Service Desk.

For health and safety reasons, AACC does not provide headphones/earbuds.  Please provide your own personal wired headphones with a standard 1/8" (3.5mm) connection.
