What do the OneDrive icons mean?

Overview

OneDrive displays a variety of icons to notify users regarding problems with files, folders, or the OneDrive app itself.

Microsoft has the OneDrive icons well documented in this support article.  Navigate to the site linked below and select your operating system (Mac, Win, etc.) to view icons specific to your OS. 

What do the OneDrive icons mean?

Common Examples: 

  • Account needs attention
    • Account needs attention: Sign in to OneDrive with your current password.
  • OneDrive can't sync.
    • Folder cannot be synced: Check your Internet connection.
