Call Forwarding

Overview

Forwarding calls on your Cisco IP Phone allows you to set another line or phone number where calls will be forwarded when it is not possible to answer the call from that specific line. You can set call forwarding to all calls, or in special situations such as if the line is busy or if there is no answer. This article aims to show you how to forward calls on the Cisco IP Series Multiplatform Phone.

Instructions

Step 1. Press the Settings gear button on the IP Phone.

Step 2. Using the Navigation cluster Navigation toggle button. button, navigate to User preferences then press the Select softkey.

  Select " User Preferences" from soft key

3. Choose Call preferences then press the Select softkey.

Select "Call preferences"

4. Press the Navigation cluster Navigation toggle button. right button to set Call forwarding to On.

Switch Call forwarding option to "On"

 

5. Input the number(s) where the calls will be forwarded to (See image above)

Troubleshooting

If phone forwarding has not be enabled on your desk phone, you will not be able to follow the instructions above.  Please contact the Technical Service Desk or submit a request using the Support for Campus Telephones service offering.
