Back-up Student Email and OneDrive

Overview

Student accounts remain active for 16 months after their last class.  Follow the instructions below for saving and backing up your student Outlook email and/or OneDrive prior to account deletion.

Back up Outlook Email

Configure a mail application, such as Microsoft Outlook with your @mymail.aacc.edu email account.  Instructions for downloading Outlook, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite can be found here.

  1. In Outlook, select File > Open & Export > Import/Export.

  1. Select the option to Export to a file.

  1. Select the Outlook Data File (.pst) option.

  1. Select a mail folder to export (ex. Inbox).  Please note, you may need to select the arrow to expand your inbox to view and select your inbox folders.

  1. Select Browse to choose a location to save your .pst file.  Select Finish.

Back up OneDrive Files
  1. Sign in to your MyMail account by signing in to the MyAACC Portal and selecting the Outlook Email link or sign in to the Outlook Web App directly at https://outlook.com/aacc.edu.
  1. Select the app launcher button in the top left corner and then select OneDrive.

  1. Download any files or folders that you'd like to save to your local computer. Select the three vertical dots next to the file/folder and then select Download.
